You may have heard it before:

“When the student is ready, the teacher appears.”

True?

I tend to think so.

For me personally. the people that have stepped into my life and assumed a mentorship role have come to me at times and places that I never expected. (Case in point: a girl I met when was around 11 at a motorcycle rally, my 11th grade English teacher).

Today, I’m digging into the concept of mentorship and talking about why you haven’t found your personal guru yet.

I’ll also give you Facebook COO Sheryl Sandburg’s take on mentorship from her book Lean In (her viewpoint is dead-on and might surprise you!)
